The Mercer University law graduate charged with killing his onetime classmate Lauren Giddings now faces new charges: seven counts of sexual exploitation of children.

Police charged murder suspect Stephen McDaniel with the additional counts based on evidence found on a flash drive in his apartment, the Macon Telegraph reports. According to an arrest warrant, the device contained photos of boys and girls in sex acts with adults.

The newspaper contacted McDaniel’s lawyer, Floyd Buford, who said he had not had a chance to discuss the new charges with his client.

McDaniel lived in the same apartment building in Macon, Ga., as Giddings. Her dismembered body was discovered in the trash outside the building on June 30. Both were members of the 2011 graduating class.
