Is Randall Kessler, the Atlanta-based celebrity lawyer, the first counsel to be dumped on Twitter? That was the question buzzing around the blogosphere.
Our answer: No.
Legal Blog Watch reports that his client Tameka Foster-Raymond, aka @TamekaRaymond, however inadvertently, posted the following note on the micro-blogging platform meant for @StarJonesEsq:
"My lawyer = horrible. Need the name/number of a good one in Atlanta."
The post was meant to be a private direct message, but was posted publicly for all of Raymond's more than 19,000 followers to see, Legal Blog Watch notes.
Raymond is in the middle of divorce proceedings initiated by her husband, R&B singer Usher.
When asked by the ABA Journal whether he still represents Raymond, Kessler responded today that he does. "We represent her, and will not comment on attorney-client relationship beyond that," he wrote in an e-mail.
