A lawyer in Aurora, Colorado, has been accused of falsely claiming that she was kidnapped.

Police in Westminster charged lawyer Becky Keil on Friday with one felony attempt to influence a public servant and two misdemeanor charges of false reporting to authorities, report the Denver Post and 9News.

Keil, 50, was reported missing in May, spurring concern because Keil also claimed to have been kidnapped in March. In the March incident, a family member found Keil in the trunk of her car, according to a search warrant cited by 9News. Keil told police that a man she didn’t know pulled her out of bed, hit her in the head and locked her in the trunk, according to the warrant.

Police allege Keil lied to them about both incidents, 9News says.
