Add Columbia University to a growing list of big-name law schools that are offering fast-track joint legal and business graduate degrees.

Those who qualify for admission to both programs will soon be able to earn a juris doctor degree and master’s in business administration in three years instead of the traditional four, reports the National Law Journal.

Yale University and Northwestern University already have such programs.

While participants will be able to finish faster—and thus get to work earning the money to repay educational costs a year earlier—those who complete the joint JD/MBA degree program at Columbia in three years won’t save any substantial amount of tuition money, however.

They will attend law school the first year, business school the second year and law school the third year and will be charged regular law school tuition the first year, 150 percent of regular business school tuition the second year and 150 percent of regular law school tuition the third year, the article explains.
