It’s a great time to go to law school, according to Dinsmore & Shohl managing partner George Vincent.

In an interview with CincyBizBlog, Vincent explained why. “I tell folks there’s never a better time to go to law school than now,” Vincent said. “I think the demand for legal services is increasing, applications for law school are down, so the competition cohort is going to be smaller. I think it’s a great time to be a lawyer.”

Dinsmore kept hiring steady during the recession, and now it’s increasing slightly. In 2012, the firm hired 21 law students, and it hired 24 law students in each of the following two years.

Dinsmore recruiting committee chair Alan Abes told the publication the firm will probably increase hiring slightly because of increased demand for legal work. “Things are really heating up all over,” he said.
