Congressman’s Wife Monica Conyers Admits Taking Bribes, Faces 5 Yrs

Detroit City Council Pro Tem Monica Conyers has pleaded guilty today, admitting to a federal judge that she took bribes in connection with a $1.2 billion Synagro Technologies contract the city was awarded two years ago.
Conyers, the wife of U.S. Rep. John Conyers, D-Mich., now faces between three and five years in prison, the Detroit News and the Detroit Free Press report.
Citing court documents, the Detroit News reports that Conyers pleaded guilty to a single count of conspiracy to commit bribery.
Conyers is not listed on the State Bar of Michigan's online registry of licensed attorneys, though she did earn a law degree from the University of the District of Columbia School of Law.

Will be interesting to see if John Conyers was aware of his wife’s activies.

It’s okay. Conyers is a democrat, so the media isn’t interested.
Ms. Conyers is a HUGE anti-white racist as well, but no one’s reporting that. She recently told her white constituents trying to speak at a city council meeting to “go home.”
A white member of the Teamster trying to push for more jobs experienced the racism from Conyers: When he dared suggest that an improved Cobo Center would create more good-paying jobs for union workers, Conyers reminded him, “Those workers look like you; they don’t look like me.”
Desperate, he invoked President Barack Obama’s message of unity and was angrily warned, “Don’t YOU say his name here!“
When called out, Ms. Conyers said, “Black people cannot be racist.”
AND, most hilarious of all, she was DESTROYED by a bunch of grade school kids in a quasi-debate. She had referred to a gov’t employee as “Shreck” and the kids told her to professional. Watch the video of this idiot racist:

Non-bitter, middle-class white person here, who feels pretty successful in many facets of my life despite all the alleged racism against whites going on out there. Assumingly here, justice is being served despite her race.

JD - almost everyone in Detroit would agree with you. The Conyer and Kilpatrick families have trashed the city over the last few years.

With her inside connections and pressure from her hubby, she’ll get off light at sentencing—-mark it down.
