Convicted last year on only one of the nine charges she faced concerning claimed misuse of her position, a suspended Ohio juvenile court judge is now facing a new indictment and trial concerning the charges on which the jury deadlocked.

However, Judge Tracie Hunter has not been required to serve her six-month sentence in the earlier case over her work for Hamilton County, because she is appealing the conviction, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer and WKRC.

Hunter was suspended without pay following her conviction in the felony case. Her new trial is scheduled for June.

So far, the prosecution has cost taxpayers about $460,000, and critics say it would be better, for this and other reasons, not to pursue a second trial on the other charges, another Cincinnati Enquirer article notes.
