A Florida city councilwoman who requested records about the Gulf oil spill got some e-mail from the city attorney that revealed just what he thought of the council meetings.

“They just make it up as they go along,” Pensacola City Attorney Rusty Wells wrote to another city employee. “I think we could start committees at 6:30 a.m. and they would still go past 7 p.m. We need to provide barf bags.”

PNJ.com reports on the e-mails and the reaction of the city council member, Maren DeWeese. She revealed the e-mail at a meeting where she was so furious that she refused to sit at the same table as Wells.

The story also reveals “salty messages” sent by Wells to the unnamed employee during the meeting. “YOU at least, are in the comfort of your own office—all I have is this crappy notebook computer with No Access To Porn!” he wrote.
