Counsel On Call

Alternative legal services provider Counsel On Call has acquired e-discovery company DSicovery LLC, or DSi.

“We have worked with DSi for many years as partners and are excited to welcome them formally into the Counsel On Call family,” said Counsel On Call CEO Barry Dark in a statement.

Founded in 2000, Counsel On Call provides attorneys through alternative staffing models to law firms and legal offices. They also provide managed services including contract review and witness preparation, among others. DSi, founded in 1999, offers digital forensics and other e-discovery services. Both companies are based in Tennessee.

Going forward, DSi will be run out of Counsel On Call’s Nashville office and will work side-by-side with its Managed Services division.

With the acquisition of DSi, Counsel On Call expands its past client list to include half of the Fortune 100 and one-third of Am Law 200 firms, according to the statement.

“As an industry, we are in the early stages of innovation in how legal services are delivered, and we are excited to be well-positioned to collaborate with clients to accelerate this transformation,” said Dark.

The specifics of the deal were not disclosed.
