Covington & Burling has a new chairman who is touting an expansion program for the law firm.

Antitrust litigator Timothy Hester is the firm’s new chairman, Legal Times reports.

Hester told Legal Times to watch for a big expansion in a few of the law firm’s offices. “We’re especially focusing on New York, San Francisco and London,” he said. “Our basic view is that we’ve got offices in the right places. But there’s more to do in each of those offices—you might see something close to a doubling in New York and San Francisco in the coming years.”

A Legal Times story published last month questioned whether Covington is “having trouble adjusting to Washington’s new paradigm,” which emphasizes “hustling for business and constant growth.” The article said Convington has dropped in its rankings of the top 20 Washington, D.C., law firms.
