Cozen O’Connor has announced it is acquiring 60 lawyers in a merger with Chicago-based Meckler Bulger Tilson Marick & Pearson.

The merger is expected to take place on June 1, pushing Cozen O’Connor’s head count to 635 lawyers, Cozen CEO Michael Heller told the Philadelphia Inquirer. In a press release, Heller said Meckler Bulger is “a go-to firm for complex insurance and commercial litigation and labor and employment.”

The acquisition will give Cozen 60 lawyers in its Chicago office and 15 lawyers in San Francisco.
