A law diploma from an unidentified “elitist” institution is being offered for sale on Craigslist, seemingly by a disgruntled San Francisco practitioner unhappy with the legal profession.

Although he or she paid more than $100,000 for the juris doctor degree, the “priceless collectible” is now for sale for the $59,250 student loan balance, the ad states. In addition to providing the recipient a chance to practice amidst others whose lives revolve around the billable hour, “this piece of paper has the amazing ability to keep you from doing what you really want to do in life, all in the name of purported prestige and financial success.”

Seriously, the diploma really is for sale, says the ad, which was posted Wednesday.
