Criminal Defense Firm Partner Censured for Taking Photo of Prosecution Document During Trial Break
A well-known criminal defense lawyer in Albany, N.Y., has been censured by a state appeals court for taking a photograph, during a trial break, of a letter left on the prosecution table that discussed trial strategy.
The state supreme court’s Appellate Division said Terence Kindlon of Kindlon & Shanks engaged in discourteous and undignified conduct by doing so, Reuters reports.
“No excuses. I was wrong,” said Kindlon in a Thursday email to the news agency. “I regret this happened and I unconditionally accept responsibility.”
