Aggravated by the recent arrest of Harvard University professor Henry Louis Gates Jr. for disorderly conduct in Cambridge, Mass., a 33-year-old Washington, D.C., lawyer says he chanted "I hate police" when he passed a group of Washington, D.C., officers on Saturday evening.
In response, attorney Pepin Tuma contends, he himself was handcuffed and arrested for disorderly conduct by an officer who allegedly called him a faggot, reports the Washington Post. He has filed a complaint over the incident, which is being investigated internally by the department.
Police confirmed the investigation but otherwise declined to comment on the incident.

Where’s Obama to tell the white lawyer he was “acting stupidly”?
