A Dallas lawyer has been sentenced to eight years in prison after a teen girl testified that he had masturbated twice in front of her after hiring her to work at his law office.

Judge Amber Givens-Davis sentenced 34-year-old Rayan Dhanesh Ganesh on Thursday, report the Dallas Morning News, WFAA and Courthouse News Service. He was convicted on Wednesday on two counts of felony indecency with a child by exposure.

The accuser said she was 15 when Ganesh approached her and her mother at the courthouse to see if they needed a lawyer. He offered the teen a job, though he didn’t ask for identification or have her fill out an application.

The teen, now 17, said Ganesh masturbated in front of her at the office and when giving her a ride home after work. Two other women testified during the sentencing phase of the trial that they had similar experiences when working for Ganesh as teens.

Assistant District Attorney Michael Snipes noted during closing arguments that several lawyers were in the gallery and asked them to stand. Snipes said all the lawyers were victims because Ganesh had make a mockery of the profession. “He made us look horrible,” Snipes said.

Ganesh has also been charged with seven counts of barratry for allegedly approaching potential clients at the courthouse. He has hundreds of pending cases, according to the Morning News.
