A New Mexico man accused for the seventh time of driving while intoxicated is involved in “a real doozy” of a case this time around, notes the Nation Now blog of the Los Angeles Times.

Aztec Magistrate Judge Carla Vescovi-Dial was a passenger in a car struck by a vehicle June 30 and is still off work recuperating. Junior Yazzie was arrested and charged after the crash, Farmington Daily Times reported. Two teens in Yazzie’s vehicle were treated for minor injuries.

And, as the two newspapers point out, Yazzie is also suspected in two hit-and-run accidents earlier the same evening. He faces charges of driving with a suspended or revoked license, driving with an open container, careless driving, refusing to submit to a blood-alcohol test, child abuse and providing alcohol to a minor.
