The world’s largest law firm is still growing.

In January, Dentons said it is merging with Chinese law firm Dacheng to create a law firm with more than 6,500 lawyers and professionals. Now Dentons is announcing a merger with McKenna Long & Aldridge, report the Am Law Daily (sub. req.), the Wall Street Journal Law Blog, Bloomberg Big Law Business and the Atlanta Business Chronicle. A press release is here.

The combined firm, which will be called Dentons, will have about 6,600 lawyers and professionals, including 1,100 in the United States. The firm will have 21 U.S. locations and 125 locations worldwide in more than 50 countries. The merger date has not been set.

Dentons and McKenna Long had also discussed a merger in 2013, but a vote on the deal was called off.
