A Canadian woman on leave from her job at IBM says she lost her benefits after her insurance agent spotted her in Facebook photos having fun.

The woman, Nathalie Blanchard, says her insurer, Manulife, told her the photos are evidence she is no longer depressed, according to the Associated Press and CBC News. The photos showed Blanchard at a Chippendales show and on vacation.

Blanchard says her doctor advised her to get out and have some fun to forget about her problems. He also recommended exercise.

Blanchard and her lawyer, Thomas Lavin, are taking legal action, according to ABCNews.com. Lavin says the insurer stopped paying Blanchard without notice, and she has been constructively fired from work.

"It's kind of a heads up to people about what they put on their Facebook accounts," Lavin told ABC.
