Dept of Labor Stats Show Flat Market for Legal Services, with Only 200 New Jobs in June
Compared to the drastic downsizing of a few years ago, the U.S. market for legal services is recovering.
But it’s essentially flat, as demonstrated by the 200 jobs added in June, according to Department of Labor statistics, reports the Wall Street Journal Law Blog. That leaves the overall number of legal sector jobs around 1.1 million.
The sector has added about 8,500 jobs during the past 12 months, but lost 41,900 in 2009.
