Discipline has been recommended for a Faegre & Benson real estate partner over his work on a Minnesota Twins stadium deal.

Mark Savin represented a then-owner of the land on which the stadium now sits at the same time that other lawyers at his firm represented Hennepin County in an effort to purchase the property, Fox 9 News reports.

The state Office of Lawyers Professional Responsibility has recommended that the Minnesota Supreme Court publicly reprimand Savin and fine him $900.

“Mark understood these issues of any potential conflict had been cleared by county officials and other members of his law firm and it just slipped through the cracks,” Aron Kahn, speaking on Savin’s behalf, tells Fox.

“Mr. Savin accepts responsibility for unknowingly crossing a line,” Kahn tells KSTP-TV.

A brief Star Tribune article says Savin agreed with the professional responsibility office to accept a public reprimand, but the state supreme court must now approve the agreement before it is final.
