In this month’s Asked and Answered podcast, we spoke to a professor of organizational behavior and author of a recent Administrative Science Quarterly article titled in part: “How networking can make us feel dirty.”

That got us wondering whether the “dirty” feeling is universal. Maybe some of you have always enjoyed networking. Maybe some of you have overcome your initial distaste for it. Or maybe some of you have embraced some forms of networking that you’re comfortable with and jettisoned others that never stopped filling you with dread.

So this week we’d like to ask you: Do you enjoy networking? Or does it make you feel slimy? Or if you have an explanation for how you learned to stop worrying and love the schmooze, fill us in.

Answer in the comments.

Read the answers to last week’s question: How many bound law books do you have? Do you still use them?

Featured answer:

Posted by NC Legal Angler: “We keep about 1,000 law books in the client conference room and though they are mostly decoration, I do still use a bit when preparing briefs or memoranda. I use the print version of specialized treatises and the annotated General Statutes more than anything else.”
