Duane Morris Picks Up 24 WolfBlock Lawyers

Philadelphia-based Duane Morris announced Monday that it is hiring 24 lawyers from WolfBlock, according to a firm press release.

Duane Morris said it is taking on lawyers with practices focused on gaming, energy, financial services, health-care and construction industries. In December, Duane Morris also hired 20 construction and real estate attorneys from the defunct San Francisco-based Thelen.

Since WolfBlock voted March 23 to dissolve, 10 of its lawyers have been hired by Drinker Biddle, 30 have been hired by Cozen O’Connor and three have decided to move to Blank Rome. The 67 lawyers at WolfBlock’s Roseland, N.J., office will operate as an independent law firm as they evaluate their other options.
