Dykema Gossett has opened a Dallas office with seven lawyers from Godwin Pappas Ronquillo.
Former Godwin lawyer Darrell Jordan, who ran unsuccessfully for Dallas mayor this spring, will head the office, Texas Lawyer reports. He hopes to hire more lawyers to join him.
“The plan would be to get to 30, 40 or 50 lawyers in a couple of years,” he told the legal publication.
Dykema chairman Rex Schlaybaugh Jr. of Detroit said the new lawyers have expertise in two important practice areas for the firm: intellectual property litigation and financial-industry class actions.
