European Law Firm Field Fisher Waterhouse Opens First US Office in Palo Alto
A European law firm that focuses on technology and intellectual property matters is opening its first United States office in Palo Alto, Calif., this month.
However, Field Fisher Waterhouse doesn’t expect to practice locally but simply offer its existing American client base easier access for representation in European matters, the Silicon Valley/San Jose Business Journal reports.
The firm, which has nearly 400 attorneys and a history dating back some 200 years in the United Kingdom, gets about a quarter of its revenue from the U.S., according to a law firm press release.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for Field Fisher Waterhouse to play to its core strengths and be part of the most exciting and innovative technology hub in the world,” said Phil Lee, who is in charge of the new office.
