Ex-AG Alberto Gonzales to Teach as Chaired Professor at New Law School
Initially underemployed after his controversial service as the nation’s top law enforcement official, former U.S. Attorney General Alberto Gonzales plans to accept a chaired professorship at a new law school.
Beginning early next year, he will serve as the Doyle Rogers Distinguished Chair of Law at Belmont University, reports the Tennessean.
The law school admitted its first class of students this fall.
“The insight and experience Alberto Gonzales acquired while serving as the nation’s chief law enforcement officer, counsel to the president, justice on the Supreme Court of Texas and Texas secretary of state will be immeasurable resources for our students and faculty,” says Dean Jeff Kinsler in a written statement.
