A former Florida appeals judge has lost his law license after pleading guilty to bank fraud for lying about a stripper’s contribution to a down payment on a home.

The Florida Supreme Court disbarred the former judge, Thomas Stringer, for five years, according to the St. Petersburg Times and News Channel 8.

Stringer had listed himself as the sole owner of a home in Hawaii, even though exotic dancer Christy Yamanaka had also contributed funds. He is scheduled to be sentenced in the criminal case on Nov. 13.

..I’m sorry BUT I don’t hear bar members talking about a slap on the wrist…..........is it because they expect the same treament or lack of treatment ?.?

Dude, he copped to bank fraud.  In many jurisdictions, the ostracism would be permanant.

Oh, c’mon, ABA.  Say it like you feel it: “He was stripped of his law license.”  You know you want to.
