Ex-Miss Calif. USA Mulls Libel Suit, Says She Didn’t Shirk Beauty Queen Duties

A former Miss California USA stripped of her title for allegedly shirking her beauty queen duties says it isn't so and is threatening to sue for defamation.
In a June 18 letter to counsel for the state pageant, an attorney for Carrie Prejean demands a retraction of what he describes as "egregious misrepresentations," reports E! News.
Prejean's answer in support of traditional marriage in response to a question posed to her by Perez Hilton at the Miss USA pageant in April elicited international criticism and, attorney Charles LiMandri contends, is the real reason why she lost her Miss California USA crown.

Unless one of her duties was to say exactly what Queen Perez Hilton wanted her to.

This is disappointing in so very many ways. She should file suit. The question was posed to HER not to the masses.

Irony: any substantive scrutiny or analysis paid regarding the operation of beauty pageant.
