Former senator Scott Brown announced Monday that he’ll join the Boston office of Nixon Peabody.

He’ll focus his practice on financial services industry and commercial real estate matters, according to the Boston Globe.

Brown said in a news release that he chose Nixon Peabody because of it’s “national presence” and “strong reputation.”

“The culture is one of collaboration among its lawyers and with clients,” Brown said. “During my time in politics, I never hesitated to reach across the aisle to work with members of any political party to secure a preferable outcome. My approach is consistent with the way Nixon Peabody does business and I believe we can be successful together.”

Brown, who lost his senate seat last year to Elizabeth Warren, was introduced to the firm by Boston lawyer James Vallee, who served with Brown in the state legislature, the Globe reports.
