Ex-employee takes plea in $376K copy machine toner theft from Fried Frank
A former employee accused of stealing $376,000 worth of copy machine toner from a BigLaw firm over a two-year period has taken a plea.
Adrian Rodriguez has pleaded guilty to second-degree larceny concerning the theft of the cartridges from Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson, the Associated Press reports.
Rodriguez, who worked in the copy department for nearly a decade, ordered more than $376,000 worth of toner on the law firm’s behalf between 2010 and 2012. Then he resold cartridges worth $80 to $259 for $10 to $15 per box, according to Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance. A Tuesday press release provides additional details.
Rodriguez is to be sentenced in May.
