Former New York Gov. George Pataki will help lead a new climate-change practice being launched by Chadbourne & Parke. The practice group will help clients deal with the legal and economic impact of global warming.

Joining Pataki to lead the new practice group is John Cahill, former commissioner of the New York Department of Environmental Conservation, GreenBiz.com reports.

Pataki is co-chair of the Independent Task Force on Global Climate Change, a project of the Council on Foreign Relations, and also focuses on climate-change issues as a member of the U.S. Mission to the U.N. General Assembly, according to a press release.
