The former managing partner of Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman is leaving the law firm to join the Girl Scouts.

Marina Park will become CEO of the Northern California Girl Scouts, the Recorder reports in a story republished by New York Lawyer (reg. req.). Park says she will take lessons learned from the Pillsbury’s mergers with two other law firms to her new organization—which is also the product of a merger. She was managing partner of Pillsbury from 1999 to 2006.

“This is just an exciting opportunity for things I like to do,” she told the legal publication. “I really believe in the mission of the Girl Scouts to build girls of courage, character and confidence who help make the world a better place.”
