A man accused of bilking victims in Texas of over $20,000 by posing as an attorney was subsequently arrested in Mississippi, where he was pretending to be a preacher and a psychologist, authorities say.

Pedro Magana Estrada, 44, has been held in the Harris County Jail since June 28, on charges of holding himself out as an attorney and felony theft, the Houston Chronicle reports.

Authorities say he used a business card to convince potential clients he was a lawyer. An investigation is ongoing.

The article doesn’t include any comment from Estrada or his counsel.

It is at least the second time this week that a criminal case concerning a claimed fake attorney has made headlines.
