A court administrator in western Washington is so fed up with the tenor of the verbal sparring between lawyers that she’s threatening to call police next time it happens in her presence.

Lewis County Superior Court Administrator Susie Parker sent an e-mail to local attorneys telling them she would contact law enforcement if “any further fights (or) disruptions” occur, reports the Centralia Chronicle, which obtained a copy of the e-mail.

In her note, Parker says, she “will be hitting my panic button and waiting for law enforcement to respond to remove the parties.”

The paper reports that the most recent incident involved a defense attorney and a deputy prosecutor.

Parker is quoted saying in her e-mail that the verbal altercations don’t happen often. But she added, “it is a very uncomfortable and dangerous position that I get put in when it does happen.”
