Federal Judge OKs Paralegals' Class Action Seeking Overtime Pay From Texas Law Firm

A federal judge in Houston has given a green light to a group of current and former paralegals seeking approval to pursue a class against a Texas law firm.

The plaintiffs contend that Mostyn Law Firm treated them as salaried workers and did not pay legally required time-and-a-half overtime for hours they worked after putting in 40 hours in a week, Courthouse News Service reports.

Earlier articles in the Southeast Texas Record and the Tex Parte Blog of Texas Lawyer provide additional details about the Fair Labor Standards Act litigation.
