A pending indictment and a continuing feud with judges isn’t fazing controversial Michigan attorney Geoffrey Fieger.

He remains on the attack, vowing to appeal a recent ruling reinstating a formal reprimand against him and running TV ads critical of a government investigation of him.

The Michigan Supreme Court ruled last week that Fieger may be disciplined for “vulgar and crude remarks” about appeals court judges, the National Law Journal reports.

Fieger had called the appellate judges “jackasses” for overturning a $15 million verdict and compared them to Nazis during a radio interview.

Fieger takes such legal setbacks in stride. He is expanding his law office and airing TV ads critical of the government for an investigation into possible campaign finance violations, the Detroit News reports.

The investigation centers on whether Fieger improperly reimbursed employees for making more than $50,000 in donations to the 2004 presidential campaign of John Edwards. Fieger says the money he paid was for bonuses, and the government probe is motivated by politics.

Fieger recently hosted a champagne reception to show off his remodeled Southfield law offices, which sport outdoor fountains and bronze lions from the French Embassy in Morocco.
