Thirty-three children will be going to NASA Space Camp in Huntsville, Ala., courtesy of Fish & Richardson.
Each of the patent law firm’s 11 offices chooses three underprivileged children each year to send to the camp, Legal Times reports.
James "Tripp" Fussell, an associate who leads the firm's scholarship committee in Washington, D.C., told the publication that the camp provides a new experience for the children selected to attend from a middle school in the District.
“A lot of these kids have never even been outside the D.C. metro area,” he said. “It’s more than just the space camp experience. It’s a neat thing to have these underprivileged kids get a chance to see the country as well.”
