A Florida judge has apparently turned over a new leaf since a legal ethics complaint made clear to him that lawyers found his alleged yelling and insulting behavior objectionable. Women reportedly were a particular target.
But Orange-Osceola Circuit Judge Tim Shea will nonetheless be publicly reprimanded by the state supreme court, if it OKs a plea agreement he worked out with the Judicial Qualifications Commission, the Orlando Sentinel reports.
The boorish behavior of which Shea is accused includes allegedly making his hand into the shape of a talking mouth and telling a female lawyer's male opposing counsel that if you let a woman "just talk until she's finished," you can then do as you please.
