Techie gifts for computer, movie and music junkies are well-priced this year.
The American Lawyer has assembled a list of the season’s best “bang-for-the-buck presents.” They include those mini notebook computers now known as netbooks, a Netflix movie player and a stereo headset.
The publication says the mini notebook computers are priced between $350 to $450 and weigh just over two pounds. The writer likes the Inspiron Mini 9 and Mini 12 from Dell and the Aspire One from Acer.
The Netflix Player by Roku costs only $100. It plugs into your TV and Internet connection to access Netflix movies that are in your queue.
Shure’s new SE102MPA headset also sells for $100 and offers “crisp sound reproduction.” For those willing to pay more, Shure has $549 SE530 earphones.
The article also lists picks for a best buy wireless mouse (Microsoft’s Arc Mouse), GPS device (the Garmin nüvi 770) and video game (Microsoft’s Xbox 360).

Indeed, I know a certain young lady who will be getting a nice bottle of bubbly, and something with “net” in its name.
