Sixteen-year-old Shennell Kennebrew had been assured by 40-year-old Keith Sims that she was too young to get into serious trouble, authorities say.

If so, she now knows otherwise: The girl has been charged as an adult, along with Sims, her 17-year-old boyfriend, Dasha Taylor, and a 17-year-old girl, Jade Beers, with four counts each of first-degree robbery concerning a string of bank hold-ups in the Seattle area, reports the Seattle Times.

Sims and Taylor are accused in charging documents in the King County Superior Court case of being the ringleaders.

“These two young women were … impressionable and misguided,” FBI Special Agent Fred Gutt tells the newspaper. “But there’s a line where misguided kids become stupid adults.”
