Goldman Sachs Backs Down in Trademark Battle With Blogger

Goldman Sachs Group Inc. has backed down from an earlier claim that a blogger critical of the investment bank was violating its trademark.
After sending a cease-and-desist letter earlier this year to Florida investment adviser Michael Morgan demanding that he stop using the firm's name, Goldman Sachs has now agreed that a disclaimer on Morgan's blog stating that it has no affiliation with the financial firm is sufficient, reports Reuters.
In the meantime, Morgan had sued Goldman Sachs in federal court in Florida, seeking a ruling that there was no trademark violation. The two sides have now settled this suit, the news agency notes.
