A suspect in a California graffiti case may have tagged along the West Coast from Bakersfield to Seattle, police say.

Derek Murphy, 21, was booked Monday on suspicion of felony vandalism after Santa Cruz authorities linked him to BERG and GREB tags on park property and police cars, the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Search warrants executed at his home and another residence discovered photos and sketches of taggings, Santa Cruz deputy police chief Steve Clark told the newspaper. “The evidence painted the suspect into a corner and into the back of our patrol car.”

Seattle police are now investigating, and other jurisdictions are expected to do so as well, KGW reports.

“We’ll send out what we call a critical reach flyer to all of the cities and the west coast asking if they have damage committed by this individual,” Clark told the station. “We’ll work with them, we’ll collaborate and we’ll share information to help them in the development of their case.”
