A Greenberg Traurig partner in Atlanta was arrested last week in an alleged road rage incident involving a tossed coffee mug.

Police charged Victoria Davis Lockard, 42, with aggressive driving and criminal trespass, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. Lockard is vice-chair of the firm’s pharmaceutical, medical device and health-care litigation practice, according to the Greenberg Traurig website.

The complainant, 21-year-old Maura Gerke, told police that the incident began when she honked at a white Jaguar because she believed it wasn’t turning fast enough. Gerke said the Jaguar driver trailed her, then pulled up beside her and began honking.

According to the report by the investigating officer, “Maura Gerke told me that she flicked off the driver… (who) then threw an object at her which struck her window, shattering it. Maura Gerke began to cry and shake as she told me what happened.”

Gerke provided police with a license plate number that led to Lockard, according to the article.

Lockard is represented by Manny Arora. “While it may seem minor, it is a major issue for a lawyer to have any type of arrest, so we take it very, very seriously,” Arora told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. “The police report is somewhat one-sided but at least the plaintiff acknowledges that she initiated the honking and there was honking back and forth and there was a lewd gesture.”
