A handwriting analyst in Houston uses her abilities to help lawyers select jurors.

The Houston Chronicle has a profile of Alice Weiser, author of Judge the Jury: Experience the Power of Reading People. Weiser plies her trade on cruise ships, in corporate hiring departments and in courtrooms. She also appears as a speaker and talk show guest.

Among her insights, chronicled on her website: People who place a firm dot above i’s and j’s hold fast to their beliefs, while those who use circle dots desire to be different.

Weiser weighed in on the Casey Anthony verdict in an interview with Fox News, saying the result isn’t all that surprising given the circumstantial case. She also analyzed the signature of U.S. Rep. Anthony Weiner for Fox News; it shows a self-made man with a huge ego who might think he would not get caught, she said.

Weiser claims a 90 percent success rate in her jury selection work, the Houston Chronicle says. She believes in her craft so much that she used it to evaluate the man who became her husband. They have been married 10 years.
