Head of IP boutique takes 8-lawyer team to Arnold & Porter
Five years ago, James Otteson left Wilson Sonsini to form his own intellectual property boutique.
Now he is back in BigLaw again, after leading all but one of the nine lawyers at his Agility IP Law to the Silicon Valley office of Arnold & Porter. The Recorder (sub. req.) and Reuters have stories.
Larger IP clients want to work with a larger firm than his boutique, Otteson said. “In terms of getting more business from large technology companies, Arnold & Porter is just going to be a much stronger platform.”
