Help Wanted: Experienced In-House Lawyers Able to Parse Regulations
Demand remains strong for lawyers lucky enough to have experience in bankruptcies, foreclosures, patent prosecution and some kinds of in-house work, according to a new survey.
Some of the findings by Robert Half Legal “are hardly shocking,” according to a story in the National Law Journal. Among those who are in demand:
• In-house lawyers with three or more years of experience in transactional, litigation, and corporate and securities law. The lawyers are needed to deal with increased regulatory requirements.
• Lawyers with five or more years of experience handling complex bankruptcy and foreclosure matters.
• Patent prosecution lawyers with three or more years of trademark or patent experience. An undergraduate degree in electrical engineering is a plus.
