Anyone willing to take on the editing of the U.S. Supreme Court’s decisions can now apply for the job.

The pay for the official “reporter of decisions” is between $155,500 and $179,700, according to The BLT: The Blog of Legal Times. The job requires a law degree, five years of legal experience, and five years of managerial experience, preferably in law book publishing.

The reporter of decisions also manages a staff of 11 and writes opinion syllabuses.

The job opening is the result of the retirement of Frank Wagner, who recently told of a debate over apostrophes among the justices. The BLT headline describes the job as a “style stickler.”
