High law-school debt spurs fashionista lawyer's entrepreneurial idea

High law-school debt brought out the entrepreneurial side of Elise Whang, who is now CEO of an online consignment shop that focuses on high-end apparel and accessories.

Whang needed to dress well for her career, but her law school debt interfered with shopping, AdWeek reports. “Consignment shopping used to have a stigma to it,” Whang tells AdWeek, “but as the younger generation—who have learned from the recession—move into the workforce, they’re more open-minded about recycling and reusing, and fitting that into their lifestyles.”
