Last month, a law school classmate filed suit against a Bronx Supreme Court justice, contending that George Villegas hasn’t repaid $500,000 she loaned him over a 19-year period in what her complaint alleged to be a “vicious cycle of gambling and borrowing money.”

Today, Janet Cohen had her New York City home searched by the Manhattan district attorney’s office, reports the New York Post.

Cohen lives in Queens. She told the newspaper in a phone message this morning that investigators were going through her belongings and taking computers that belong to her and her son, the Post reports. She later declined further comment.

A spokeswoman for the district attorney’s office also declined to comment.
