Tasteful, conservative, low-key law firm advertising it’s not. But a billboard featuring a scantily clad couple along with the line “Life’s Short, Get a Divorce” has indeed apparently met its intended goal of sparking interest in the small law firm that paid for it.
Sponsored by Fetman, Garland & Associates in Chicago, the billboard in the city’s glitzy Gold Coast neighborhood known for its bars and nightlife isn’t for everyone. Despite criticism from passers-by interviewed by local radio station, the firm is making no apologies for what it terms a cutting-edge advertisement targeted at a specific audience, reports Fox News.
“If you’re unhappy, that life is too short to continue in an unhappy marriage, those images provide hope,” says name partner Corri Fetman. Her firm is already planning more such advertising in the future.
