Callers who dialed a complaint hotline for Baltimore police weren’t able to file an official grievance, though they were invited to engage in conversation.

The 800 number listed on a website maintained by the police department’s public affairs office connected to an adult chat line, the Baltimore Sun reports.

A recorded female voice tells callers they have reached “America’s hottest talk line.”

“Guys, hot ladies are waiting to talk with you,” the recording says.

The police department took the number off the website after the Sun called for comment. Police said they were investigating the cause of the error.
